🔐 Is my Instagram data safe?
Absolutely. Everything runs right in your browser — nothing is ever uploaded. We don’t collect, store, or see your data. You can even go offline after loading the site, and it’ll still work. That’s how private it is.
🛠️ Do I need to log in with my Instagram account?
Nope! You never need to log in, authorize access, or share credentials. Just upload the ZIP you download from your Instagram settings — no strings attached.
📁 What kind of data does this tool use?
Only your 'Followers' and 'Following' data — nothing more. We ignore messages, photos, posts, and all unrelated content.
📡 Does this tool send any data to a server?
Zero. Nada. Nothing is sent anywhere. It’s a 100% browser-only app. No backend, no external calls, no tracking. Just pure client-side functionality.
📦 What file should I upload? Where do I get it?

💾 Will this tool save any of my data for later?
No. Everything is erased when you refresh or close the page. It's like a one-time, private snapshot — no history, no storage.

🧠 I'm tech-savvy — how can I verify that it's really client-side?
Great question. Open your browser’s Network tab in DevTools. You’ll see:
- No requests are made after the initial load
- ZIP upload triggers no outbound traffic
- Everything runs in-memory using
JSZip
📦 I can't upload my ZIP file — it's bigger than 5 MB!
Make sure you only selected 'Followers and Following' when requesting your Instagram data. Including other items (like posts or stories) bloats the file size.
🔢 I'm seeing follower/following counts as zero. Why?
This usually happens if:
- You didn’t select “All time”
- You selected HTML instead of JSON
- You didn’t include Followers and Following
❓ I'm seeing inconsistent data — what gives?
Inconsistent data typically means:
- You didn’t pick “All time”
- Your ZIP file was partially downloaded
- The data files are corrupted or incomplete
🤔 Can I use this tool to analyze posts, likes, or DMs?
Currently, Insta Insight Hub focuses only on Followers and Following. Expanding to more data types may come later — but only if we can guarantee the same level of privacy.

📈 How does the compare feature work?
Upload your old Instagram ZIP file and your new one. Insta Insight Hub will analyze both files and show you exactly what changed between them — new followers, unfollowers, people you started/stopped following, and pending requests changes.
⏰ How often should I download my Instagram data for comparison?
It depends on your needs! Some people check weekly, others monthly. The compare feature works best when you have regular snapshots of your Instagram data to track changes over time.
